Privacy Policy
This policy explains what MD Comics may collect when you read the site, share a comic, send a note, or subscribe for updates.
You can read MD Comics without creating an account. The site does not offer public reader profiles, comments, ratings, or paid subscriptions.
Information Collected
Like most websites, MD Comics may collect basic technical information automatically through standard server logs. This can include your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you visit.
MD Comics also uses first-party, cookie-free analytics for aggregate usage data such as page views and popular content. These analytics records include the page path, page title, visit time, external referrer host, campaign tags in the URL, broad browser and device type, approximate country or region, and network organization when local IP reference data is available.
To estimate unique visitors without cookies, the site creates a one-way HMAC digest from your IP address, browser user agent, and the current day or month. The raw IP address is used only during the request for that calculation and optional local region lookup; it is not stored in the analytics database.
How Information Is Used
- To keep the site running and troubleshoot errors.
- To understand which comics and pages readers find useful or entertaining.
- To protect the site from abuse, spam, or malicious traffic.
Cookies and Third-Party Services
MD Comics uses essential cookies for site administration. Public readers do not need an account or login cookie, and public page view analytics do not use cookies. If you subscribe for email updates through a mailing list service, that provider may process your email address under its own privacy terms.
IP region and network information, when shown in admin analytics, is derived from the DB-IP Lite database and is displayed only in aggregate.
Contact and Questions
If you have a privacy-related question, you can reach out through the contact page. This policy may be updated if MD Comics adds new reader features or services.
